JEAN ALERTE
The only difference between success and failure boils down to one thing, finding out what the masses have done and making a conscious decision to go in the opposite direction. Striving to escape mediocrity can only be accomplished by taking the educated risk, which when explored fully, with the proper due diligence, leads to unparalleled success. Each and every day waking and believing, “Today, I will be better in every way than I was yesterday" is the mindset one needs to accomplish that fully attainable goal.
Only then can an individual truly reach his calling and be the person they were destined to be.
Jean Alerte is a man who lives by these principles. Jean Alerte was born in Port Au Prince, Haiti to Joseph and Marie Alerte. His family moved to Brooklyn, New York when he was 5 years old where his sister Stephanie was eventually born and then to Long Island at 11 where he continued his education. During his youth, Jean had the unique opportunity of experiencing a taste of the finer side of life while being raised in an average lifestyle by his two very hardworking parents. Jean was determined to succeed at a very young age, and was drawn to the trappings of success that he saw around him. Modeling himself after those who had already achieved success was Jean's M.O. from the very start. By the early age of 16, Jean had already begun expanding on his work experiences ranging from marketing, management and entrepreneurship development as a part of DECA, Delta Epsilon Chi Activities. He also landed an intern assignment at balancing and diagnostic market leader, Schenck Trebel. His early work career coupled with family role models and corporate mentors such as Robert Flower and Rob Standfast have molded Jean into a management and marketing guru in his own right. In a twist of events, Jean was introduced to his eventual Promotion/Entertainment advisor, Will Thomas aka Big Will, whom genuinely instilled in him the principles of accountability, morals, and integrity, which Jean incorporates into all of his business ventures. Jean's motto is “Always do right. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest.” Finding successful business moguls in fields that he respected such as Sean “Diddy” Combs and Shawn (Jay-Z) Carter, after whom he has modeled himself, he pulled his network and his resources together to reach the next phase of his career in entertainment from music to acting, and sports.
Jean has compiled a list of accomplishments that any company would be proud of, and that span many industries from event planning to sports and artist management. He has landed accounts with Club 40/40 and Benjamin Steakhouse, developed and managed successful events at renowned clubs such as H20, Strata, and Branch, and organized events and parties including football hero Michael Strahan's retirement party, musical diva Missy Elliott's Birthday Bash, Def Jam's 25th Anniversary Event, Tribute for Obama on President's Day, Victory Gala for Tony Williams and Kanye West and his music label, Good Music Label, and Bobby Valentino's Album Release Party.
Working with industry leaders and the biggest names in promotion, and entertainment, (such as Joe Jackson, one of New York's most successful promoters), Vanessa Simmons, and Jay Alexander of Fubu, plus corporate entities like Vibe Magazine, Subway, Vaseline Men, Best Buy, Sprite Green, FJ Benjamin, and Samsung, have fashioned Jean into the success story that he is, ranking at the top of the entertainment world's young entrepreneur's list. With style and grace, Jean aspires to rise to new heights in the entertainment field.
His honest, up-front approach to dealing with everyday people, as well as superstars draws people to him, and to his company ACA, like the proverbial moth to a flame. Jean Alerte is here to "alert” the industry of his presence. He is the future of the entertainment industry, and with his star-studded kick-off show at Westbury, this coming February, 20th of 2010, it's sure that he's here to stay. |
